Question 1

How do I conduct a Spell Bee competition for my school?

Accepted Answer

Partner with Gait View and we set up the full Spell Bee for you: class-wise word lists, a practice app for students, and a competition app that reads each word aloud, times answers, scores them automatically and publishes a live leaderboard. Your teachers only need to run the session.

Question 2

Can a school association conduct an inter-school Spell Bee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Gait View Spell Bee is built for school associations. The association picks its member schools, and the competition runs from school level through division, district and state finals, with the top 5 promoted at each level.

Question 3

Which classes can take part in the Spell Bee?

Accepted Answer

Students from LKG to Class 10. Each class has its own word bank, based on the NCERT syllabus.

Question 4

How is the Spell Bee scored?

Accepted Answer

Each student plays 4 rounds (5, 10, 15 and 20 words). A regular word is worth 10 points and a tough word 20 points, plus a speed bonus. The top 20 then play a 60-second Rapid Fire round, and ties are broken by Sudden Death.

Question 5

Do students need their own phones on competition day?

Accepted Answer

No. Students practise beforehand on the Gait View app. On competition day the organiser's device reads each word aloud and records answers, so no student devices are needed.
